> Guernsey — an important area between France and England during World War II

> Shanghai — the world’s most populous city with amazing views everywhere!

COLOMBIA
> Cartagena — colorful architecture, narrow streets, green plants

CROATIA
> Dubrovnik — the 16th Century Old Town with its massive stone walls is a definite highlight in this city on the Adriatic Sea
> Split — an ancient area whose palaces, buildings, and neighboring remains are worth visiting and enjoying

> Copenhagen — a favorite stop for cruise ships and land tours

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

ENGLAND
> Liverpool — a must visit if you like (or liked) the Beatles

ESTONIA
> Tallinn — an easy walk into town from the ship

FINLAND
> Helsinki — the only Scandinavian country that moved away from its “Crown” currency to the Euro

FRANCE
> Beaune — really good Burgundy wine and Beef Bourguignon
> Le Havre
> Normandy — showing both sides of the impact of D-Day, 70 years afterward
> Paris
> Versailles — it’s definitely worth the short train ride to this palatial estate

FRENCH POLYNESIA
> Bora Bora — the water and natural beauty are amazing sights to behold
> Tahiti — flowers, statues, clouds in the sky; they’re all here in Tahiti!

HONDURAS
> Copan — visit to some Mayan ruins
> Subirana — it was a great week on a church mission trip

IRELAND
> Cobh — you can go into Cork, but Cobh is a great town for walking, sightseeing, Titanic Memorials, etc.
> Dublin — not a problem to find an Irish pub here!

ISRAEL
> Eilat — on Gulf of Aqaba; natural park; kibbutz; copper mines and rock formations

ITALY
> Cinque Terre — our tour guide called our two-day stop here as the “vacation within your vacation”
> Florence
> Naples
> Ravenna — the mosaics are so amazing, and it’s also the [disputed] place of Dante’s tomb
> Rome
> Sicily
> Venice — a magnificent place to roam, and contrary to popular opinion you CAN get lost in the city!

JAPAN
> Aomori — home of popular Nebuta Festival and Warehouse
> Hakodate
> Hiroshima — the location of the first Atomic Bomb dropped in World War II
> Kobe
> Kushiro
> Nagasaki
> Okinawa
> Otaru
> Shimizu

> Dead Sea — just make sure you don’t float face down in the water; it’s hard to get back upright!
> Petra — a truly magnificent discovery of red rock carvings

MEXICO
> Cabo San Lucas
> Copper Canyon

> Abu Dhabi — the Grand Mosque is truly amazing, but that’s not all there is to see in Abu Dhabi
> Dubai — where buildings are very much in view, from the tallest to the most amazing!
