Here are photos from a 2015 visit to Easter Island during our cruise from New York to Australia. Many of the people on the cruise had tried to visit Easter Island before, but it appears that very few cruises are actually able to stop, drop anchor, and then tender people to shore — all because of the high winds and waves that make it too dangerous for the tendering operation.
